Anticipation...

So far this summer (if you can call it that when it rains every day) has been a million things and nothing all at the same time. We have a million things to prepare for that make us feel busy...but mostly we are forced to wait around and be impatient. July...will be the month of chaos. And for June...we're just crazy trying to fit July in.

Its off to Las Vegas this weekend for Emma Jo's dance recital. I can't wait to see her dance. Its also Steph's Birthday tomorrow...HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH! Thank you for being so good to me. You're a better sister than I could ever ask for!

And as for bittersweet July, we will be moving! not far, but to a place with more room. I can't imagine what it will be like to have our table out of the living room! And as if moving isn't enough, we've also got a 15k race, a 5k race, A wedding (That would be my dad. I'm so happy for him! And we all just adore Julie) the search to buy a new vehicle (Excruciating) and a week long vacation (Which I'm sure will be much needed by the time this month is over!) and then first of August one more wedding! Where does one find the time? Life is a medley of packing, running, more packing, running, unpacking...."Found it!"...repacking, and running.

I think once we've survived it we will have a photo montage of the good the bad and the ugly. :)

Nonsense, Mostly

I'm the worst blogger ever. And since my vacation isn't coming any faster I suppose I could ramble for a while. Although I really don't care about anything but those beaches of Mexico calling my name. :) I've been running A LOT (Thanks a million times over Steph for getting me into it) and I love it. And I think (knock on wood) that I've once again kicked the soda habit entirely. Now if I could kick a few more habits. Kelly has been working out of town for the past two weeks and I must say...anyone who thinks getting married makes you gain weight, you don't know what you're talking about. Being alone destroys any and every effort made to be "good". I litterally ate an entire plate of cookies for dinner one night while reading a book (ask Ted, he was totally miffed that I didn't share haha). Were the cookies totally worth it? Probably. =)
We are also playing the moving game again. Its never fun...but its also a wonderful excuse to dejunk my entire house. I LOVE to dejunk. I hope the DI is ready for the truckload I'm about to bring their way.

Paradise Awaits

Some beach
Somewhere
There's a big umbrella casting shade over an empty chair
Palm trees are growin' and a warm breeze is blowing
I picture myself right there
On Some beach, somewhere

I literally sing this song over and over in my head day in and day out. :)

Montage

Ok...catch up is going to be what little photo documentation I have in the form of a montage. Mostly crafting. I was obsessed for the 3 nice days of weather we had. Then things slowed back down. Until.....yes, thats where we came home to find that our house caught on fire. Luckily it wasn't serious. There was some damage to the power llines downt he street and the surge cause amost all of our electronics, TV, steros, the beloved massage chair, to all go out. Regardless of whether or not they were on a power surge. Luckily my candle warmer survived it! :) And because of how our luck rolls...it wasn't too much longer that we're driving down the road minding our own business and the wheel on our truck falls off. We both sat and stared as we watched it bounce down the hill and into the trees. Shortly thereafter all we could do was laugh. So we figured that lady luck has to be coming our way soon right? Well, we had a blast at the supercross and this summer we are heading off to re-explore mexico this summer. I practially have my bags packed two months early. So as a warning...don't expect to hear much from us until we return!

Early Birthdays

Happy Birthday to you!!! In my best singing voice. :) For Kelly's birthday, which actually isn't until next Monday, we got him a new mountain bike....I'm probably just as excited about it as he is. Actually, I'm calling it OUR birthday present I'm so excited about it. As you can tell, I couldn't wait to get on and attempt a "stoppie". We can't wait for some real summer weather to hit the trails. Happy early birthday, Kelly! I hope you love it!

Easter

I'm full of good intentions to do so many things...blogging and laundry are one of them....I'm starting with blogging. :) Easter was fun at our home. We relaxed and enjoyed our inner child by decorating eggs. Although Kelly definitely "Out-Martha'd" me when it came to his foiling techniques. Ted got a new dog bed and I figured the easiest way to make it enticing was to put a treat under the pillow for him to find. This picture of him is the first thing he did as soon as he caught a wiff of bacon. So now he has a really cushy treat dispenser rather than a bed. Sigh....what am I gonna do with him.

Live Simply

Have you ever been so bored it becomes excruciating? Last night I was too ambitious to watch TV and too lazy to get off the couch. Puts you in a tough spot where the only solution is to complain about it. haha. Kelly came to my rescue and took me to get a frozen yogurt (my weakness), then we parked in an emptly lot and watched the sun set. It really makes you stop and realize how the simple things in life are the things that make it special. Sitting there daydreaming with the one person I love above and beyond anything in this world found me about as happy as I can imagine.
